We all want our newsletters to be read, we spend all that time writing them and putting them out there with great content. So the question is how do we get people to read them?

Here are some tips for getting good open rates in newsletters:

Write compelling subject lines: The subject line is the first thing your readers see in their inbox. Make sure it grabs their attention and entices them to open the email. It needs to hook them in.

Personalise your emails: Use your subscribers' names in the email and tailor the content to their interests or preferences. This can make your emails more relevant and engaging. Using emojis can also grab the reader's attention

Segment your audience: Divide your email list into different segments based on factors such as demographics, behaviour, and interests. This allows you to send targeted messages to specific groups of subscribers.

Use a clean design: Make sure your email design is easy to read and visually appealing. Use a clean layout, high-quality images, and a clear call-to-action. Consistency is key!

Send at the right time: Test different send times to see when your subscribers are most likely to open and engage with your emails. This may vary depending on your audience and industry. Check your insights from previous newsletters and see what works best for you.

Provide valuable content: Your subscribers should feel like they are getting something of value from your emails. Make sure your content is informative, entertaining, or useful in some way.

Encourage engagement: Include calls-to-action in your emails that encourage subscribers to take action, such as replying to the email, clicking a link, or sharing the email with others.

Monitor and optimise: Track your open rates and other metrics to see what's working and what's not. Use this information to continually optimize your emails and improve your results.
